Four books from Torchflame Books Named 2025 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards Finalist

Vista, CA—Today, Torchflame Books, an imprint of Top Reads Publishing, is pleased to announce that four of our books have been recognized as finalists in the 28th annual Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards: Part of the Solution; Sleep: A User’s Guide; Lucky Duck: at the mall, in the 80s, with a dog; Hot Tango in Argentina.

Foreword Indies Book Award Finalist SealAs part of its mission to discover, review, and share the best books from university and independent publishers, Foreword Magazine, Inc. hosts an annual awards program each year. Finalists represent the best books published in 2025.

The complete list of Finalists can be found at: https://www.forewordreviews.com/awards/finalists/2025/

“This year’s finalist judging process leaves us buoyant about the health of independent publishing,” says Executive Editor Matt Sutherland. “From Self-Help titles to Business, Poetry to Juvenile Nonfiction, we have never seen such a remarkable collection of submissions. With the competition so tight, the 2025 finalists should feel immensely proud.”

“We are thrilled to have so many of our books in the running this year! Our authors have worked hard to create wonderful books that often push against genre boundaries, which is part of what makes independent publishing so much fun. It’s lovely to have that recognized on a larger scale. We’re excited to see how the rest of this award season goes, and we cannot wait to continue celebrating the success of our authors,” says Jori Hanna, Director of Marketing and Publicity.

Winners in each genre, along with Editor’s Choice Prize winners and Foreword’s Indie Publisher of the Year, will be announced in June 2026.
