Torchflame Books are seeking manuscripts whose content and authors reflect the diversity of people, cultures, and ideas in our nation. Authors who have traditionally been underserved in the publishing community are especially encouraged to submit their work.

We are currently seeking fiction and non-fiction titles for our 2025 catalog.

Additionally, we are intentionally seeking out books in the following genres and styles:

Nonfiction Genres:

• • Memoirs about particularly meaningful moments or experiences. (See Stewards of Humanity, Their Faces Shone, and Going to School in Black and White)
  • Books on faith and spirituality (See Wait, The Color of Together, and Following the Red Bird)
  • Collected Essays and Stories (See Gently Between the Words and Climbing Lessons)
  • Business, Leadership, and Professional Interests (See Looking Within, Essential Leadership Lessons from the Thin Blue Line, and Becoming a Creative Genius)
  • Current Affairs and Public Policy (See Charting a Course for American Education and The Wrongful Conviction of Oscar Pistorius)
  • Specialized topics geared toward a specific target audience (See The Mom’s Guide to Surviving West Point, Creole Made Easy, and Please Don’t Let Me Be the Oldest Mom in the PTA)
  • Own Voices (stories written by authors from distinct backgrounds who can express the nuances of a lived experience)
  • Books about animals and our natural world

• Mystery and Thriller (See The Nicole Graves Mysteries, The Peter Savage Novels, The Seer, and Trust Misplaced)
• General and Literary Fiction (See Healing Maddie Brees, Family Weave, and Of Green Stuff Woven)

• LGBTQ+
• Own Voices (literature written by authors from distinct backgrounds who can express the nuances of a lived experience)
• Books featuring animals 

Overall, we’re looking for strong narrative voices, enthralling material, and the stories that need to be told.

Note: This list is an actively shifting and changing list of what we’re most excited about right now. If your genre is not on this list, but it still fits our guidelines, we would love to take a look at your unpublished manuscript.

We publish most major genres in fiction and nonfiction including Memoir, Business, Fantasy, Speculative Fiction, Historical, Mystery/Thriller, Children’s (for Author/Illustrators), Middle Grade, and Young Adult. We do not publish erotica or horror. If you’re not sure whether we’ll be interested in your book, please send it in. We would hate for you to count yourself out when your book might be exactly what we’re looking for.

It usually takes us 3-4 weeks to review a manuscript and make a decision, and we thank you for your patience.
