Paul Brown

Paul Brown was born in Arizona on a Navaho Indian reservation where his father worked as a doctor before moving to the Belgian Congo. Most of his early memories are filled with his experiences in Africa, at home in Zandeland and at the boarding school he attended through 10th grade. As an adult he returned to Rethy Academy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

For over 30 years "Pa and Ma Brown," as they are still affectionately known, taught, loved, and guided children in the very same boarding school where these stories took place. The author passes on this rich heritage to his growing grandchildren through his actions, words, and stories, some of which are written here.
