Carol Genengels, born in Seattle, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, enjoying summers at her aunt’s beach house. ​Her childhood prayer for a husband who would take her to church was answered when she met Ted in high school. ​Married for 64 years, Carol studied Medical Assisting and worked in healthcare before retiring. ​ She co-founded A Woman’s Touch Ministry, serving as director for 15 years, and authored numerous stories, poems, and devotionals featured in books like Chicken Soup for the Soul and magazines like Woman’s Day. ​ Her books, Unfailing Love and Fingerprints on the Altar Rails, have touched many lives. ​ Carol and Ted co-founded Grays Harbor’s first NAMI affiliate, earning a Phoenix Award for their mental health advocacy. ​Her article, A Cry for Help, influenced legislation funding mental health. ​An inspirational speaker and Toastmasters leader, Carol’s passion is empowering women to fulfill their God-given potential. ​“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Cor.15:58 NASB
