Amanda Beckwith, a professional home organizer and recovering alcoholic, is finally getting her life together when one of her clients fires her and threatens to sue. With two years of sobriety teetering on the edge, along with her dwindling bank account and the patience of friends and family worn thin by years of chaos, she has few people to call on for help.
Desperate for connection, and with a sudden influx of free time, she turns to a local social media app called Neighborly, hoping to find a distant relative or a new friend. She thinks she may have found both in new-to-town Rachel Beckwith, and the two agree to meet after a few phone calls.
After Rachel repeatedly cancels their plans, this time claiming she's ill, Amanda stops by her house to check on her. But when she arrives, Rachel is dead.
Fighting an uphill battle to once again prove her innocence, Amanda must get to the bottom of her secretive cousin’s life. She is quickly tangled in a web of deceit—and dangerously close to a killer.
