Carol grew up in New England, where, from a young age, the changing seasons and the tranquility of the surrounding woods captivated her. In 1998, seeking a deeper life meaning, she made a transformative move to Southern California, where she currently resides. Shortly after, she began work at the renowned wellness resort, Golden Door. This marked the beginning of her journey into mindfulness, eventually teaching yoga and mindfulness classes, which she continues today.

In 2023, her husband received a terminal cancer diagnosis with a prognosis of 4-6 months to live. During this heart-wrenching time, her mindfulness practice proved to be an invaluable tool, helping her traverse the emotional landscape. It was in those short, but profound months that she learned what living in the moment truly meant.
